The SMEAR test

well as I thought I'm getting Breasts checked next week - may as well get this one out of the way.  Its once every three years (unless there's a problem - then its every 6 months).  Appointment was this aft,  went.  Nurse checked records - asked me various questions - one was "Do you bleed after sex" to which my response was "Can't remember - it was so long ago I had any!"

Anyways on with the examination. Nurse there with instruments and torch.  Couldn't find me cervix.  Well if a nurse can't find it what hope has anyone else!  Turns out the test I had 3 years ago was 'Target not found'  but they didn't recall me for another one until now.

after 10 mins of searching for it - she located it. She made a note on the system for next time.  Hope its all clear and I don't have to come back in 6 months.  That was particularly uncomfortable as she had to search for it.
